Animé par Julia Gilroy
Date: 23 et 24 janvier
Time: 14h00 à 18h00

Back Problems – What to do?
Presented by Julia Gilroy
Date: 23 - 24 January
Time: 14:00 - 18:00
This is an introductory course based on LearningMethods and The Anatomy of Wholeness to understand the how, why and what to do about painful back conditions. With anatomical explanations and practical demonstrations you will understand how to recognize and avoid the kinds of movements that cause problems. You'll also find out how to move with less strain, less pain and less effort. This knowledge will be applied to all your everyday activities such as sitting, standing, bending, walking, working at a computer, lifting, etc.
The general content will include:
— Looking at how you are supported and balanced as an upright
two-legged creature.
— Recognising when you are in support or not and the implications of
this.
— Clarifying inaccurate ideas about posture and what this means.
— Considering the significance of your intentions and the "physical"
response to it.
— Using your own experiences and awareness to continue the work on
your own.
These workshops are open to anyone who has back problems (scoliosis, sciatica, back pain, etc.) or those of you who wish to learn more about this revolutionary method. As always your questions, concerns and interest will be the driving force of the sessions.
